Powder Room

An orange and dark powder room is transformed to an airy cottage-inspired space with DIY projects

When we moved in, this powder room was orange with gold overlay swirls. Yes, you read that right. It was a dark and dated room with cracked tile. Since this is our only bathroom on the main floor, I knew it needed to be updated ASAP, so it was the very first project we tackled in 2013. There was only one problem— we didn’t have the money to create the pretty space I dreamed of. With a tiny budget and some DIY skills, we transformed this space into a room that has stood the test of time!
