Christmas Lights at Night
There’s nothing more magical than Christmas lights at night! Get in the holiday spirit by taking a tour of this decorated home at night, outside and in.
Welcome to the last tour of this Christmas Season, the annual Christmas Lights at Night tour hosted by my dear friend Rachel at Maison de Pax. If you’re stopping by from Courtney’s at French Country Cottage, welcome! Her trees and that gorgeous gilded mirror are breathtaking, aren’t they?
I’m so excited to welcome you to our New England colonial all decorated for Christmas. You can see our earlier Christmas tours here! You can also see other Christmas Lights at Night tours from 2015, 2016, 2019, and 2020.
We had a rare combination of snow and Christmas lights this year. I know you would imagine, living in New England, that white Christmases would be abundant.
However, that has not exactly been the case in recent years. Overall, I’m okay with that as I’m not a huge fan of snow, but I find it acceptably ambient before Christmas. I took advantage of this snowstorm to take pretty snowy photos of the exterior before everything melted.
It felt like The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe with the snowy lamp posts.
It makes me so happy to look at this photo; it represents over five years of hard work. While there are still a few architectural details I want to add to the front exterior in the future (carriage house garage details, more landscaping in front of the family room, and maybe a farmer’s porch), we have come so far. The house looks so beautiful decorated for Christmas this year!
Come on inside to see our “big tree” all lit up for the night!
The big tree has been a bit of temptation for our littlest one at almost three years old. I ended up giving her a little tree of her own to decorate.
She loves the ” ‘parkly ones” the best.
Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones! I truly hope this season brings you peace and happy memories. Please stop by and visit Sonya and her beautiful home at HOME with the barkers next!

If I didn’t know better, I would expect Mr. Tumness to pop out from behind one of your snow-laden trees. What a magical Narnia, indeed! Thank you for the tour and inspiration.
So beautiful!
Beautiful! I have always loved a single candle in every window. Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas!
The pictures of the house in the snow, are so wonderful! It really screams New England Christmas, so lovely and classic!
