In the summer of 2021, we made a big life change. After spending the previous twelve years in Massachusetts, we moved back to New Hampshire to be closer to our family and friends. We thought about building a house, but the timeline didn’t quite work out with our kids’ school. As we were trying to figure out a plan, our good friend and real estate agent Robert found us the perfect cape cod style cottage home.
I had brought him a floor plan when we’d considered building, and the house ended up having a lot of the same features that drew me to that original design. Not only is it a cape cod style cottage home, but it has cedar shake and is filled with classic finishes and tons of gorgeous custom built-ins. While it needs minimal updates, we do have a few projects planned (and the exterior is going to be so much fun to make even better).
Our first major project will be the main bathroom, and you can follow along as we tackle that project in the early winter of 2022. We also have plans of updating and refreshing the kitchen and adding a patio to the beautiful backyard in 2023. I can’t wait to share as we continue to make this new home our own!
